Summary of Comments made Sri T C Mathew, Hon Sec of Kerala Cricket Association(KCA), and Member of BCCI(Representative from KCA), member umpires Sub Committee and also the manager for the Sri Lankan Test Tour. This was disclosed in a discussion in a Television Channel, Vis- a-vis Sourav Ganguly's retirement 1) India's senior most batsmen are not able to to play geniune fast bowling and then Sachin being unavailble for Domestice Matches inluding Irani Trophy was to hide fear of failure of Sachin. It was a psychological strategy of sachin and that some media persons are doing PR for sachin in creating the Hype that sachin is still the best batsmen in the world. Mathew also stated that with the announcement of Retirement by Sourav, sachin very cleverly stays away from Local matches, for any failure would prompt him to announce hsi retirement too! 2) he further stated that Sourav disclosed in a private discussion to me(mathew), that sourvav nurtures the hope of beocming an office bearer of Cricket association of bengal.
